Olle & Lisa

Olle and Lisa live with their three daughters in a house from the 1920s in Bromma, an area outside central Stockholm. They did some serious math when getting a new kitchen to figure out how much storage space they actually needed. The result gave them a more spacious and practical kitchen.

“The old kitchen that was here when we moved in was from the 1990s and had a very dark and heavy look, a bit cave-like. The ceiling had been lowered to install spotlights. The kitchen fronts were oak with a shiny finish, the walls had brown tiles and so did the floor. The whole kitchen felt a bit like a cowboy saloon. We knew we wanted a wooden kitchen, no chipboards that fall apart after a few years, but a kitchen made from high quality materials that will last for many, many years. We also wanted a kitchen that suited the house and its age, but at the same time felt modern without being trendy. When we found Stillark's kitchen, we were able to tick all the boxes."

"Kitchen storage was an important thing for us when choosing a new kitchen. Olle actually measured how much storage space we had in the old kitchen and calculated how much we actually needed, and finally compared it with what we would get in the kitchen Stillark designed for us. This showed us that the new kitchen would give us more than enough storage space. Our old kitchen had an extreme amount of different storage, but that actually made it harder to find things, and we often bought food that we already had at the back of a cabinet. Several cabinets were also filled with stuff that didn't even belong in a kitchen. It's quite incredible how much better order we have in our new kitchen cabinets. In the drawers of the base cabinets you always have a total overview and know what food you actually have at home."

"By keeping the ceiling height and having no upper cupboards, the room has been given so much air and space, it feels like the room has become twice as big. Stillark has been very welcoming and helpful throughout the process. One of the architects helped us design the kitchen. It was nice to have a professional do the drawings as he made good suggestions and listened to our views. Delivery and installation exceeded our expectations. On the same day of delivery, two nice carpenters from Stillark came and installed the entire kitchen in a few days."
